Fitness influencer Maeve Madden has told how she was targeted by vile internet trolls shortly after her dad died.

Recalling the online abuse, Maeve, 37, told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “There’s always been trolling, I have quite a thick skin. “Literally the day before our wedding, my dad said, ‘I can’t go’. I didn’t want him to be uncomfortable. “Daddy was a very proud man. But he did get to walk me down the teeny weeny aisle that we had in London.Maeve, from Newry in Co Down, said she knew the moment her sister called her to come home days later, that her dad had died.“He was holding on until we got married. I could feel him everywhere, Dad used to bang the door to scare us.

The fitness entrepreneur said she has been plagued with health problems that may prevent her from starting a family of her own. “So there is obviously that stress. They had to do a two centimetre stitch on each side of my uterus.“So when people ask me, are you going to have a baby I don’t know what to say.The fitness guru was never officially diagnosed with an eating disorder but revealed previously she was in a dark place. She added: “I was in a really toxic mentally abusive relationship for about four years.
