From frightening foods to dangerous decorations, flashing lights and fireworks, here are some helpful tips on how to have a pet friendly Halloween
Ireland’s pet experts are advising animal lovers to take special care of their pets ahead of the festive Halloween season.
Sadly, these can not only be hazards for pets this Halloween, but they can also cause stress for our furry friends.Ireland’s pet experts Petmania have launched a national alert to advise pet owners on how to better care for their furry friends during the Halloween period. “Exercise is still important too so try to keep walks to daylight hours, and keep your pet on a lead when outdoors. We also advise pet owners to ensure their pets are microchipped and wearing an ID tag, and that all contact details are up to date."
The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals has also issued advice on how to keep pets safe over the Halloween period, advising pet owners to keep animals indoors as much as possible in the run-up to the Bank Holiday weekend and the public is asked to take care with livestock and wildlife as well as domestic pets.
