The warning concerns the south of the country as counties Cork, Kerry and Waterford will experience significant downpours over the next 24 hours.
Moving into Saturday, the forecast looks relatively mixed. According to Met Éireann: "Wet and breezy conditions will spread countrywide on Saturday morning, with some heavy falls, especially in parts of Munster and south Leinster, bringing a risk of spot flooding. The forecaster said that Sunday will be another mix of bright or sunny spells with scattered showers.
