Most of Ireland is in for a scorcher
Ireland is set to be as hot as Lanzarote this week as sizzling temperatures continue to hold in the midst of a two-week mini-heatwave.
While a little cooler in the east of the country, weather expert Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said: "Another cracker of a morning with a glorious day ahead." Mr O'Reilly stated that there will be a "fine sunny week ahead" adding that the 'drought' word could be employed ahead due to a "very dry outlook" on current weather models for the rest of the week.
Thursday will be warm, sunny and dry once again, with temperatures in the west reaching 24C, while still slightly cooler in the east.
