Storm Agnes will hit Ireland on Wednesday bringing strong gusts and heavy showers
Storm Agnes is en route to Ireland and set to bring severe and damaging gusts and heavy rain for parts of the country.
The storm is expected to hit in the early hours of Wednesday morning, with the various alerts coming into effect in the morning between 7am and 12pm. These yellow rain and wind warnings will begin to end at midnight on Thursday. Issuing the warning, Met Éireann said: “Becoming very windy on Wednesday with very strong and gusty southerly winds, veering westerly later on.”
Becoming extremely windy or stormy for a time in the east and south with the potential for severe and damaging gusts.
