Huge increase in number of children on mental health waiting lists since Government took power
The number of children on waiting lists for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services appointments has increased by 700% in some areas, new figures have revealed.
Figures provided by the HSE show that of the 4,421 children awaiting treatment, 735 have been waiting for over one year. In the Laois/Offaly, Longford/Westmeath and Louth/Meath , there are 737 children on CAMHS waiting lists, with 97 waiting over a year.
