A Garda spokesman said: “An Garda Síochána have notified the Coroner of the death of a girl which occurred at Crumlin Children’s Hospital on Monday morning, 25th September 2023. Esra Haynes suffered a cardiac arrest and sustained irreparable brain damage after taking part in the challenge while at a friend’s sleepover on March 31, 2023.
“We’ve got the pictures in our mind which will never be erased, you know, of what we were confronted with.”
