A major overnight fire at a house in Galway has reportedly left a woman fighting for her life in hospital and her house 'destroyed' as gardaí seal off the scene.
Galway Beo reports that the hospitalised woman, in her 70s, is believed to be in "critical condition" at Galway University Hospital, while another individual, a man aged in his 70s, is also being treated for injuries sustained in the fire.Emergency services arrived at the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control. The scene is currently sealed off by gardaí for a technical examination as part of a wider investigation into the incident.
