A talented young student journalist who tragically lost his life during a hit-and-run on Friday evening will be laid to rest on Wednesday.

Tributes paid to young man killed in 'hit-and-run' while waiting at bus stopJoe Drennan (21) who was a native of Mountrath in County Laois was waiting at a bus stop on the Dublin Road in Limerick when he was hit by one of two cars which were involved in a collision. He was later pronounced dead at Limerick University Hospital.
