The incident happened at a St Colum's GAA pitch in Cork on Saturday, around 35 minutes into a the Bon Secours Cork Premier JFC quarter-final between Urhan and Millstreet.
A farmer videoed spreading slurry just meters away from GAA match spectators has sparked debate online.
Shortly after the spreading began, supporters were seen moving away from the sideline in a bid to avoid the spray coming off the machine. An unnamed St. Colum's club member questioned the timing of the spreading, asking why the process was being carried out in the middle of a storm with incessant rain.
