Fans convinced Coldplay will play huge Dublin gig after noticing detail at Amsterdam show
The Yellow rockers are currently in the midst of a world tour and tonight are playing the last of a stint of shows in Amsterdam’s Johan Cruyff Arena, finishing off the European leg of the tour - which did not take them to Ireland.
The Chris Martin-fronted five-piece had reportedly opted not to include Ireland in their Music of the Spheres tour due to the insurance costs. However, during their spate of shows in Amsterdam, a fan has pointed out that a screen displays the words, #ColdplayDublin as well as #ColdplayMunich, #ColdplayVienna and #ColdplayAmsterdam.What this means has not been revealed. According to their website, the band played shows in Munich and Vienna on their tour already in June.
In another tweet, one more fan also raised that other cities were presented on the screen and questioned what it meant: “The # during the wait on the big screens??? Bucarest, Helsinki, Rome, Düsseldorf!”One Irish fan posted a tweet alongside a video of the display screen at the Dutch show that said: “Further hints on Coldplay coming to Dublin… this visible at their Amsterdam gig!”
Many people flocked to the comments to say how much they would love the group to come back to Ireland, with the last time being in 2017.While another fan wrote: “Probably the best gig ever in Manchester… Dublin would be awesome if it happens. Coldplay don’t do concerts they do an experience.”
