Fair City star Elaine Purdue ropes in her husband and kids to help practice her lines at home and they all watch the show together.
Elaine and her family live in Mullingar but she is originally from Finglas in the northside of Dublin.Elaine told RSVP Live: "I am married in real life. I have two kids, they are 17 and 13, Killian and Katie. Everyone gives a handout to be fair whether it is my husband or my kids."Both of my kids are quite musical and my eldest did her first musical in the Mullingar Arts Centre last year.
She said: "Once the theme tune comes on everyone just jumps into their seats. It is still a novelty for them and it is on four nights a week so it is very different to theatre, short films and feature films."She said: "I was very taken aback when I started to get noticed because Maxine is a new character and she is not on the screen that often. Viewers don’t see that much of her.
