Manchester United made Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat one of four deadline day signings and boss Erik ten Hag has now issued his thoughts on the Red Devils’ deal for the midfielder
The Red Devils secured the signing of the Moroccan on a season-long loan deal from Italian side Fiorentina. He was one of four signings that United managed to get over the line on the last day of the transfer window.
Speaking in his post-match press conference, he said: “It was already, from the start of the season, one of my wishes to get another [number] six, a holding midfielder, in the squad because through the season you need that depth there. Amrabat’s arrival at Old Trafford came extremely late, with United looking desperate for more midfield options. He - alongside a number of options - were touted for moves.
