The case was entered into the Commercial Court on consent between the parties by Mr Justice Denis McDonald who put it back to next February. The Swedish company claims it owns the EU-registered trademark SECURITAS which it says has acquired a substantial reputation in the EU and a high level of distinctive character.

In its statement of claim, it also says the defendants are offering computer security software and related services on websites, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.
