Awful news from Cork where a cyclist has been seriously injured in a collision with a car
A cyclist in Cork is being treated in hospital for serious injuries after he was involved in a collision with a car earlier this morning.
Gardaí are investigating the crash which occurred on the N71 at Barleyhill East, Rosscarbery, Co Cork at approximately 9am on Thursday morning.Read More: Ireland weather: June Bank Holiday weekend set to be a scorcher The road between Rosscarbery and Leap remains closed at this time to facilitate a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators. Local traffic diversions are currently in place."Any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling on this stretch of the N71 between 9:00am and 10:00am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí," a statement read.
