Company operating Drury Court in city centre says there is a shortage of tourist accommodation in the city
The owner of the Drury Court Hotel and P Mac’s craft beer bar have been issued warning letters and an enforcement notice for using city-centre apartments as short-term lets.
Measures were introduced in 2019 to restrict the letting of whole residential properties on a short-term basis. Local authorities were also given powers to investigate the advertisement of residential market housing on websites such as Airbnb, Vrbo and Booking.com.
