Not only did Coronation Street actress Samia Longchambon get hit with flight delays during her summer holiday, the soap star also battled sickness, a tornado and was robbed while trying to relax in Spain
Coronation Street star Samia Longchambon isn't let a string of disasters dampen her spirits following an eventful recent holiday to an island in Spain.
Samia, best known for playing Maria Windass on the ITV soap, admitted to fans she was relieved to be back home following the nightmare holiday and explained why she feels it's important to be real on social media at times, rather than just showing off as we "live our best lives".
She continued: "Home now and there’s no place I’d rather be! I know I could’ve just put some caption about holidays been amazing , but I feel like we get enough of people ‘living their best lives’ on here without showing the reality sometimes.. Hope you’ve all had a lovely summer break and to those people affected by the flight delays… I feel you! #homesweethome #summer23."
Earlier this month, Samia called for one of her Corrie character Maria's forgotten storylines to be revisited. The actress, who has appeared on the cobbled streets of Weatherfield on and off since 2000, admitted she's keen to shoot more scenes with co-stars Jane Danson and Ben Price, who play Leanne Battersby and Nick Tilsley, respectively.
