The warning comes as dozens of people in groups on Facebook fell victim to the scammers
A major warning has been issued for Coldplay fans hoping to get ticket to see the band play in Croke Park next year.
In one instance the poster claimed to have tickets and used Revolut to collect hundreds of euro from well-meaning punters, Dublin Live reports. Now those people are stuck trying to claim their money back from Revolut. Warning signs with one of the scammers was a lack of bank account outside Revolut, no telephone number available and requesting the money in US dollars. One potential victim said they pulled out of the transaction when the scammer said they could not meet in person.
