Charlie Bird has shared a heartbreaking update from his home as he continues to struggle with Motor Neurone Disease but admits he is honoured to be able to help in a hospice fundraiser.
In his most recent update, the retired RTÉ journalist revealed that the way his illness has been going he was left crying his eyes out. “But I am so honoured that I have been invited to help launch the Bewley’s Hospice coffee morning tomorrow. Bewley’s Hospice Coffee Morning takes place on September 21 and is now in its 31st year. To date, the annual fundraiser that takes place in cities, towns and villages all across Ireland has made more than €43.2 million for supporting specialist palliative care all over the country.
