Charlie Bird has opened up about being fitted with a feeding tube in his stomach next week as the legendary RTÉ journalist continues to battle with Motor Neurone Disease.
In an update on Friday evening, Charlie revealed that he will soon be fitted with a feeding tube to try to "improve my quality of life."In a post on Twitter, Charlie Bird said: "I have taken a major decision, my MND is so bad now, I am going to have a feeding tube put into my stomach next week. He shared the post alongside a video of his pet dog Tiger, who he has always said has been a great source of comfort amid his MND battle.One person commented: "You need to do what’s right for you and if it helps to make you more comfortable in any way then that’s got to be a good thing.
