The broadcaster has been filling in for Ryan Tubridy, who has been off air since late June, following the RTE payment scandal, with today the first show since it was confirmed Ryan will not return to his slot.
In a morning dominated by news of the shock decision to not have Ryan Tubridy return to his RTE Radio 1 one show, Brendan Courtney took the helm at the first show in Ryan's slot since the news emerged.
Oliver Callan is currently the bookies favourite with even odds to take over the role, however Brendan Courtney, is also very much in the mix as things stand at 6/4. It comes after the presenter recently revealed he was struggling with a huge personal battle to keep his ageing mother Nuala out of a nursing home
