The England number eight was initially sin-binned for making contact with the head of Porter before the yellow card was upgraded to a red by the bunker review system
Billy Vunipola saw red for a challenge on Andrew Porter during Ireland's World Cup warm-up clash with England on Saturday evening.Donal Lenihan was on punditry duty for RTE for the Aviva Stadium clash and felt the Saracens player could have no complaints about seeing red.The former Ireland player said: "He can't have any argument whatsoever. He's too high in the tackle, his arm is tucked in, that's the worst offence.
"I don't think that's why World Rugby brought the bunker in. The consequences are that the right decision is probably being made, but not made on the field as such." Lenihan replied by saying: "You won't see referees giving red cards anymore unless they murder somebody on the field." Jackman said it was "madness", commenting: "The reason they're referees is because they know the laws better than the people sitting in the bunker so it's an unintended consequence of this bunker system."
