Anthony Joshua had some spare time in between training for fights to decided to use it by sitting in a pitch-black room for four days to try and become 'one of the coolest people'
Anthony Joshua says he decided to pay £2,000 to sit blindfolded in total darkness for four days in order to try and find inner peace.
The 34-year-old is putting his free time to good use, having watched the NFL at Wembley and taken free-kicks with David Beckham at Inter Miami. And the heavyweight boxer has also taken some time out of his schedule to undertake an unusual task. Describing the process, he added: "There is a door, they open the door, slide in your food on a tray, you eat. You don’t see them. No phone. No TV. No radio. No audiobooks. Nothing.”
Now that he has come out of his dark room, Joshua will turn his thoughts to boxing, having fought just four times in the last three years. He may be able to fight for the IBF world title should it become vacant after Tyson Fury's fight with Oleksandr Usyk, which is scheduled December 23 in Saudi Arabia.
