'The ones that get flustered with all that because they're not ready for all different types of permutations are the ones that lose the plot'
Andy Farrell claims that Ireland have stress tested themselves into position to have a successful Rugby World Cup.
But he has been Ireland's man in the hot seat since their return from Japan four years ago - and since then has put all those experiences to good use in an attempt to build a squad that can go deep at France 2023. "And the ones that get flustered with all that because they're not ready for all different types of permutations are the ones that lose the plot.
Hosts France also have claims, given the way they have been performing, while Ireland go into the tournament unbeaten in a record 13 Tests and having won a Test series in New Zealand, completed the November series clean sweep and earned a Grand Slam triumph in the spring."Well, I think everyone loves to say that anyway," said Farrell.
Of the 31 players that were originally named in the squad to go to Japan, 15 have not travelled to France.
