John has been a supporter of the Look Good Feel Better charity since his daughter Deirdre was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015.
An 80-year-old grandad is set to become probably the oldest man in Ireland to jump off the roof of the GAA’s famous Croke Park stadium.
“A charity called Look Good Feel Better asked my daughters Janette and Deirdre if they would do the abseil. “So I said I would do it. I spend most weekends in Croke Park, watching GAA, and this would be just an amazing experience.“My GP had to approve it. She said she would not approve it until three or four weeks before the abseil.“She approved it last week and was very happy to do it. She even donated her fee to the charity.”
“When he is not gardening, he is over helping Janette and me in Kays Flower school, washing flower buckets, packing boxes for the online courses, and running to the wholesalers.”“My dad is an amazing man and will do anything for any of us and our children.
