44% of women who have been through intimate relationship abuse have also experienced suicidal thoughts.The study, by Women's Aid, shows the detrimental impact of abuse on young women's health including depression, anxiety and PTSD.
campaign, Mary Hayes says the research shows the long-lasting impact abuse has on someone's mental health."So that would include things like, low self esteem, anxiety, depression, post traumatic stress disorder, and also suicidal ideation. Our research also shows that 44% of young women subjected to intimate relationship abuse experienced suicidal thoughts as a result. 19% of young women had attempted suicide.It's just 10 short questions, and it can tell you if your relationship is healthy, unhealthy, or if there maybe some worrying behaviors there.
